Basic AToM configuration

Same as for L2TPv3 we’ll go over the basic configuration of an AToM tunnel. In this example we’ll only do ethernet to ethernet. We’ll go in internetworking in another post.

As for L2TPv3 we’ll use the CsC configuration to setup our tunnels between R1 and R8

To manage this interconnection we’ll be using the interface G1/0 of R2 and G2/0 of R7.

First of all lets configure our pseudowire options

pseudowire-class AToM
 encapsulation mpls

That’s all. We just need to configure the xconnect as in L2TPv3 now

xconnect 67.99.7.7 18 pw-class AToM

Once configured on both side you have your L2VPN tunnel using MPLS

Note that we are running CsC using the BGP here, there is no LDP between the CsC CE and PE.
